Preserving Great
Outdoor Memories
We offer personalized service tailored to your vision with a satisfaction-focused approach.

Owner and Maine licensed taxidermist Joel Jantzen developed a passion for wildlife at an early age, spending years exploring the forests, mountains, and waterways that define this region. That connection to nature is reflected in every piece, with a focus on accurate anatomy, natural poses, and lifelike expression.
At Zone 6 Taxidermy, our work is both a craft and an art form. Based in Aroostook County, our studio is dedicated to preserving the beauty, character, and story behind every animal through lifelike and natural looking work.
Our approach is rooted in a deep respect for wildlife and a passion for artistic detail. From the powerful presence of bear and moose to the quiet elegance of whitetail deer, each mount is carefully designed to reflect natural movement, anatomy, and expression. We believe every piece should feel alive—capturing not just the animal, but the moment and environment it represents.
Our specialties include bear, whitetail deer, moose, waterfowl such as ducks and pheasants, small game of all kinds, and fish. Whether it’s a trophy from a once-in-a-lifetime hunt or a personal connection to the outdoors, we approach each project as a unique work of art, never one-size-fits-all.
Using a blend of traditional techniques and modern materials, we focus on precision, realism, and creative composition. The result is a finished piece that stands as both a lasting memory and a striking display. At Zone 6 Taxidermy, we don’t just preserve animals—we create pieces that honor them!
